In 2003 he was awarded the Top Economist of the Year by the SA Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP). In his early career he lectured in various aspects of Economics at the University of Cape Town and in 1999 he was awarded his professorship. From 2001 to 2004 he was an Exco Member, Director and Group Economist at The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited. In 2005 he became the CEO of Pan-African Capital Holdings (Proprietary) Limited and Pan-African Investments and Research Services (Proprietary) Limited, which position he holds to date. Iraj was appointed Chairman of the Pangbourne board on 17 October 2007.
Barry is a Chartered Accountant who completed his articles with
Arthur Young. Barry’s experience includes management of the Part
Bond Scheme and Gilt Fund for Hill Samuel Merchant Bank. He was
financial director of Integrated Property Resources (“Intaprop”) and
managing director of Intaprop Management Services, the property
management company for the Intaprop group. In 1994 Barry
co-founded Inline Properties, a property management and corporate
property advisory company. Barry is a founding director of Resilient
Property Income Fund Limited (“Resilient”). Barry relinquished his
duties as executive director of Resilient, to become managing director
of Property Fund Managers Limited (“PFM”), the asset manager of
Capital Property Fund (“Capital”), in 2004. He resigned as nonexecutive
director of Resilient in February 2007. Barry resigned as
managing director of PFM to join the Pangbourne board as executive
director on 17 October 2007 and was appointed managing director
with effect from 1 March 2008. Barry is a non-executive director of
PFM and executive director of Monyetla Property Fund Limited.
Annalese is currently the managing director of Prominent Properties CC,
which undertakes property management, property development and
consulting for JSE listed clients. Previously, as senior portfolio manager
at JHI Real Estate Limited, Annalese was responsible for clients
including the Public Investment Corporation, Cenprop, Capital and UAL.
Annalese has had broad experience in financial and property related
fields.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Bryan was a member of
staff at the Department of Accounting at the University of Cape Town
and was appointed Professor of Accounting in 1979. He served on the
Accounting Standards Committee of The South African Institute of
Chartered Accountants and co-authored with Professor G K
Everingham “Generally Accepted Accounting Practice – A South African Viewpoint” published by Juta & Co. In 1994 he joined Old Mutual Asset
Managers as Head of Research and member of the executive team.
Bryan was appointed Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director of
Old Mutual Asset Managers on its formation into a company in June
1997.
Bryan is a non-executive director of Mvelaphanda Group Limited and
chairman of its audit committee. He is also serving a three year term on
the Directorate of Market Abuse.
Bryan was a director of Pangbourne from 1996 to 1999 and rejoined
the board in February 2005.
Craig qualified as an Attorney in 1995 and practiced at Bowman Gilfillan
Attorneys until 1997 when he joined Investec. Craig was employed in the
asset management division of Investec and held various managerial
positions. Craig was a director of PFM prior to being appointed as
managing director of Siyathenga Property Fund Limited (“Siyathenga”) in
February 2008. He subsequently joined the Pangbourne board as an
executive director.
Dave started his career at Abcon Construction in 1989. He joined Abland in 1995 as project manager and was appointed a director in 1997. In 1998 he was appointed managing director and has been involved in all aspects of Abland becoming a national property development company in the industrial, commercial and retail sectors.
Des spent most of his career with the Nedbank Group, initially in property
finance and later in private equity. Des is the managing director of Resilient
and a director of PFM.
Jacques started his career with KPMG in auditing and consulting. In
2002 he joined Nedcor Investment Bank’s corporate finance division.
Jacques left corporate finance after the listing of Resilient and is the
past financial director of Resilient and Diversified.
Jacques was appointed to the Pangbourne board on 17 October
2007 as financial director.

Gerard spent 20 years at De Ravel, Boulle, Saad and Wyman (now Mazars Moores Rowland). Gerard was instrumental in putting together the property holding company, Grovewalk Holdings Limited, which listed in 1987. He has been appointed to many boards and currently chairs the main board of Zurich Insurance Company SA Limited where he is a member of the Investment Committee and Nominations Committee.

Ryan is co-founder, and Director of Hi-Performance Learning, an award
winning learning consultancy that specialises in the design of customised
learning solutions that liberate human and organisation potential. Ryan is
also co-founder, and director of Cuda Technologies, a software
development company that specialises in smart learning and performance
support technologies capable of delivering in bandwidth-restricted
environments. Ryan is personally heavily involved in the development of
learning strategies for top organisations, and has written and spoken widely
on the topic of learning and e-learning throughout South Africa.
Thando was awarded two scholarships to study in the UK where he
completed his MSc in Property Investment. He was selected to form
part of the USA-South African leadership programme at Wharton
School of Business in Pennsylvania. Thando’s career includes
positions with Southern Life Properties, the Investment Property
Databank (IPD), Old Mutual Properties and Shanduka Properties.
In 2003 he served as director of PFM representing Shanduka. In 2006
Thando resigned from Shanduka and PFM to pursue private property
development opportunities and in June 2008 he joined the Imperial
Group as Head of Imperial Properties.
He first worked as an equity analyst for Old Mutual, focusing on large cap counters in food, pharmaceuticals, retail and leisure. After three years he moved to Standard Bank, Johannesburg, working as a Private Equity deal-maker before taking the post of Unit Trust Single Manager Head at Stanlib Investments Limited for two years. During his time at Stanlib, Trurman was awarded a scholarship to study at Harvard Business School. He completed his Program for Management Development in 2004. In May 2006, he opted to leave the corporate environment. He purchased a stake in South Africa’s largest accounts receivable management company, MBD. He has taken the position of strategic director and is in the process of growing strategic clients and helping in transforming the company. He also has an interest in commodity and energy related businesses. Trurman sits on the board of MBD Holdings, the ACI as an Independent non-executive director and is on the Board of Governors at Hilton College.
